Diagnostic tests and services
We provide office and hospital based consultation services, preventive services and counseling services. In addition we offer the following test and procedures. These tests are used to detect if heart disease is present, determine its severity and to choose the optimal treatment.
- Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention
This is an invasive procedure whereby catheters are inserted into ones body to take certain measurements inside the heart and blood vessels, take pictures of blood vessels and the pumping chambers of the heart and open up blockages in the arteries.
- Stress Testing
This is a noninvasive test used to identify the presence or absence of blockages in the blood vessels supplying the heart muscle or to assess your functional capacity.
- Echocardiography (Trans Thoracic Echocardiography)
This is a noninvasive ultrasound examination of the heart to identify the structure and function of the heart and to determine the flow of blood through the heart chambers and valves.
- Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
This is another form of ultrasound examination of the heart performed by inserting a probe into the esophagus in situations where a “closer look” is needed at certain structures of the heart.
- MUGA Scan
MUGA scan is a noninvasive test performed after injecting a radioactive isotope and is used to assess the size and function of the pumping chambers of the heart.
- Holter Monitor
This is a portable ECG monitor and is worn for 24-48 hours, including sleeping hours to detect any irregularities in the heart rhythm.
- Tilt Table Testing
Tilt table testing is a non-invasive test used to identify the cause of fainting or near fainting spells.
- Carotid Duplex Scan
This is an ultrasound examination of the carotid arteries located in the neck.
- Pacemaker and Defibrillator Check
This is performed non-invasively to assess the battery status, lead parameters and analysis of any stored events in your pace maker or defibrillator.
- Preventive Services and Counseling
Our preventive services are offered for patients at risk of having heart diseases and to educate people who are suffering from various heart conditions about their treatment and follow up.
