Satheesh Joseph, MD, FACC

Dr.Satheesh Joseph is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He holds current New York State Medical License. He holds current ACLS and BLS certifications as well.

Dr. Satheesh Joseph completed his medical school training as valedictorian from Medical College Kottayam, Mahatma Gandhi University, India in 1993. He then completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry University, India in 1996 and was again valedictorian.

After this, he pursued further studies in United Kingdom and obtained the coveted diploma of Member of Royal College of Physicians in 1997(MRCP). He then completed his internal medicine residency in 2001 from Stony Brook University Hospital, New York, which is ranked among the nations top 15 universities for medical training. During this period, Dr. Joseph was bestowed with several awards including, best intern of the year award in 1999, elected by Stony Brook University medical students in year 2000 into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society of New York for his outstanding teaching and commitment to medical education and graduated in 2001 with the best outgoing resident of the year award. Further to this he completed Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases in 2004, from Stony Brook University Medical Center, New York. His interest in latest advancements in cardiology led him to pursue 1 year of fellowship training in Cardiovascular CT and MRI, from St. Francis Hospital, Port Washington, New York. He then completed 1 year of fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology from Stony Brook University Medical Center. Dr. Joseph has already performed more than 1000 coronary angioplasties/stents and more than 2000 diagnostic catheterizations. He has presented and written several abstracts and articles in scientific conferences and peer reviewed journals.

Dr Satheesh Joseph is Assistant Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, Clinical Instructor in Cardiology at Stony Brook University Medical Center and is affiliated with North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
